2019: APC ‘ill turn PDP to opposition in Delta – Ojougboh

The spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council in Delta state, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh has said its party would turn PDP in the state to opposition after the March governorship elections

The State APC spokesman stated this in Asaba while briefing journalists on the preparations for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally billed to hold on Thursday in Warri, Delta state.

Dr Ojougboh stated reasons why Deltans are desirous of joining mainstream politics and not remaining in the opposition.

According to him, “Delta state will tomorrow  demonstrate the power of unity never known before in the history of the party. The need to flush out the decadent PDP government cannot be overemphasised.

“This visit is coming at a time Deltans are praying for the messiah to rescue its citizens from the clutches of corruption, inefficiency, thievery, violence and unimaginable scale of deceit by a gang of thieves masquerading as politicians”.

Cairo Ojougboh, a former deputy national chairman of the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stated that President Buhari should be encouraged to continue the war against corruption.

“Corruption will kill Nigeria if we do not kill corruption. Any attempt to bring PDP back will be crowning and glorifying corruption and God forbids this”, he sauntered.

However, he enumerated Buhari administration’s Next Level achievements to include, the construction of a rail network in Nigeria that will be best in Africa in the next two years and total annihilation of the remains of the Boko Haram insurgency in the next six months.

Others are the Ewu-Agbor-Sapele expressway, which 40% completed, the 133KVA Benin-Agbor-Asaba substation and transmission lines (already commissioned), noting that for the first time in history, Nigeria achieved 7,000 megawatts of electricity generation.
