2019: APC in S/Africa optimistic of Buhari’s victory

The All Progressives Congress (APC) South Africa chapter says the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will be incapable of stopping President Muhammadu Buahri from clinching a second tenure.
The party equally said it will win the 2019 general elections in spite of efforts by the opposition parties particularly the PDP to thwart its success. The party said after observing the just concluded PDP National Convention that it stands a better chance of winning than before.
“President Buhari remains our candidate and I do not see any candidate from the North beating him. “If you want to test the popularity of Mr President, check out the crowd that welcomed him in Kano State two weeks ago,” he said.
According to the Interim Chairman of the party in Pretoria, South Africa, Mr Abbey Oguntuase, said that the party had become stronger in spite of the defection of some members.
“We do not believe that the defection of the former vice president will affect the fortunes of the party. We think that the party is stronger and ready for the elections,” he said and called on its national leadership to remain focus.
He appealed to the leaders of the party not to be distracted but conceive programmes that will make positive impact in the life of the people.
