2019: Benue guber aspirant storms Kaduna, Kano

 

Governorship aspirant in the 2019 election, Dr. Stephen Terungwa Hwande, has decried the poor state of infrastructural development in Benue State, stating that 42 years after its creation there is nothing to show for its existence.
He also expressed dismay over the backlog of salary arrears to civil servants in Benue state, noting that it requires fresh ideas and new crops of leadersto move the state forward.
The gynaecologist, who was received by some Benue indigenes at a grand reception at Space 2000 Barnawa, is currently touring Kaduna and Kano States to galvanise Benue communities ahead of the general elections.
Further, Dr.
Hwande regretted long standing challenges of basic amenities, infrastructure gap facing the state under the current leadership and promised to fix it once voted into office.
He assured that joblessness and insecurity would be addressed by providing private and foreign investment, noting his economic team would work had to revive the ailing ones and reintegrate same back into the system.
“When all this things are done and put in proper place, Benue will stop relying on federal allocation like Lagos state, even as yams processing facilities would be provided to quarantine reserves and export of quality produce from the state reputed for producing best yam tubers in Nigeria.
He promised harness the abundant human resources in the state and not to step down for anyone if endorsed by the people, adding that would raise the status of the state to match that of Dubai.
Present at the grand reception were representatives of Tiv, Idoma, Igede, Etulo Community leaders in kaduna state, members and leadership of National Association of Benue indigenes among others.
