2019: Campaign group lambasts Buhari, mobilises 10m votes for Atiku

The Atikulation 2019 movement has pledged to mobilize 10 million votes across North-west Zone, Deputy Coordinator North-west, Eng. Isa Ibrahim, has said.

In the same vein, the movement backed elder state man, Professor Ango Abdullahi, who said the North would not vote for President Buhari in the 2019 polls.

In a press conference in Kaduna, the Movement said,  the Buhari administration has failed woefully in the last over three years in power, despite the so-called change mantra as well as overwhelming support of the people in the North-west.

He said, “Looking at the 2018 national budget a whooping N13.3 billion is earmarked for construction of 20 new roads, none of which is in North-west, while the 2015 demographic survey indicated the rise of out of school children from 10.5m in 2010 to 13.2m, indicating that 69 percent of the above figure is from North”.

The Atikulation Northwest Movement further said a recent World Bank report classified Nigeria as world poverty capital with over 89 million of the population living below poverty line while NBS said poverty level in North-west is 81%.

Ibrahim further said throughout the over 3 and half years of the present Buhari administration, there is no single project worth N1 billion initiated and completed by this administration anywhere in the 7 states of the region.

He said: “The dividend or reward we have gotten from the millions of votes we gave is high insecurity, hunger, unemployment of our teeming youth, and high degree of uncertainty in our daily affairs.

Having reviewed the present state of affairs, which has dashed our initial optimism for improved living condition, we hereby resolve to chart a new course and massively vote Wazirin Adamawa, Atiku Abubakar (GCON)”.
