2019: I’ll correct Taraba chieftaincy imbalance, uphold justice – Aspirant

A Taraba state governorship aspirant on the platform of All Progress, Barr Kabiru Umar Dodo has promised to correct the injustices that characterised the creation and upgrading of chiefdoms in the state.
According to him, the essence of the creation of chiefdoms was defeated as “there is clear injustice in the exercise aimed at creating confusion and rancour among communities in the state.” He made his position known at the press conference that preceeded the rally to flag off his campaign yesterday.
He said the crises that eating deep into the fabrics of development in the state were also because of the seeming social injustice that created mistrust amongst the communities.
The former member, Taraba state House of Assembly also said the government of Peoples Democratic Party in the state was deliberately creating confusion to divert the attention of the common man from their inability to transform the state.
Commenting on the road project flagged off by the government of Darius Dickson Ishaku, in Yorro local government area, Barr Dodo said it was a means to loot the state treasury as according to him N2billion has been paid to the contractor handling the project while the contractor has abandoned the site.
On his programmes, the former special adviser to late governor, Danbaba Suntai on special duties, said the main trust of his government will be creation of jobs for the productive unemployed youths and utilizing the agricultural potentials of the state.
The governorship hopeful insisted that the state has all the potentials to be self sustained but described as evil the over dependence on the federal government by various administrations in the state.
He added that, out of the 20 million cows in Nigeria, five million are resident in Taraba and his government will use only the milk from the cows to create jobs for over ten thousand youths.
