2019: Kwankwaso, Turaki in Taraba, promise fresh air

Two presidential aspirants on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, Rabiu Musa Kankwaso and Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, were both in Jalingo the Taraba state capital yesterday as part of their campaign tour of the country.
Both aspirants in their separate presentations promised to give Nigerians a dose of fresh air if given the opportunity to serve.
While Turaki promised new security architecture for the country, Kankwaso pledged human development.
Both also admitted the fact of congestion in the presidential aspiration in the opposition party but pledged to uphold the interest, unity, progress and survival of democracy above personal and party interest.
Turaki however insisted the delegates of the party would be given limitless opportunity to choose the candidate of their choice for purposeful leadership of the country if the party wants to win elections and salvage democracy in the country from total collapse.
Sen Kankwaso on the other hand said his presidency will develop human capital across the length and breadth of the country to add value to the lives of the citizenry, stressing that security challenges that currently bedevil the country will be dealt with.
PDP is parading eminently qualified personalities for the presidency of the country, and whoever will be chosen according Barr.
Turaki will have the capacity to secure the country.
“The PDP delegates should be given limitless opportunity to make a choice from the alley of eminently qualified personalities , and whoever is chosen will have the capacity to secure Nigeria, to unite and move the economy of the country forward,” Turaki added.
Kankwaso who came into the state from Adamawa, decried the deplorable state of federal government trunk A road he plied to arrive the state but said the story of Kano under his watch will be replicated all over the country if given the opportunity to serve.
