2019: Minister’s wife backs Buhari on development in South-south

Wife of Transportation Minister Dame Judith Amaechi has thrown her weight behind President Mohammudu Buhari ahead of February 16, 2019 Presidential polls.

Dame stated this at the South-south women and youth presidential campaign organised by the foundation for female empowerment in collaboration with the coalition of female founders and leaders of NGOs, CBOs, CSOs and FBOs in the Niger Delta region in Porthacourt.

According to her: “I see a government that has structures and focus in place to deliver his people and wants to make a difference.
“We know Buhari can give us the security we want in the South-South.

“We are here to see how women can be placed in positions and how youth can have a say in the society ,” she said. 

She lauded the First Lady on women and youth adding: “she has done something noble. She knows the importance of women and youths in the country.”

On her part, Nigeria’s first lady Aisha Buhari called on South-south youths to shun violence and ensure their votes are counted at the polling units.

Aisha who was represented by the wife of the country’s Vice President Dolapo Osinbajo said the present administration is interested on issues concerning women and youth.

“That was why the government engaged more in the home grown school feeding programs, N-Power programs, among others,”she said.

Aisha said the present administration has helped to provide small loans for business owners.

She urged them to come out in their large numbers and vote for the All Progressive Congress (APC) as the party was ready carry them along. 

“That is why the APC government is working day and night for the development of Nigeria. I want you to talk to 5 to 10 people to vote for APC,” she added.
