2019: Ohakim, Ihedioha,Uzodinma’ll ruin Imo – Okorocha

ByAhead of the 2019 general elections, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has warned the electorate to beware of the horde of governorship aspirants jostling to occupy the state Government House.
Those the Owelle described as hounds waiting to loot Imo state treasury are erstwhile governor of the state, Sir Ikedi Ohakim, former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, the Senator representing Orlu senatorial zone, Hope Uzodinma, and All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume The governor gave the caution on Tuesday during his Democracy Day press briefi ng at the Government House, Owerri.
Okorocha opined that if the above mentioned politicians are given the mantle of leadership in the state in 2019, the treasury of the state would be on fi re as the commonwealth of the people would go into individual pockets instead of using it to develop the state as he has so far done.
“What Imo people will experience from them is the more you look the less you see.” Okorocha, who was angered by the fact that these gentlemen were warming up to take back the reins of leadership from him, made it clear that all his personal investments were stationed at home rather than abroad, whereas these people are selfish leaders who did theirs outside the state.
He said Ohakim used four years to construct Yar’Adua Avenue, Governor’s Office and introduced Clean and Green Initiative, which had now gone into oblivion.
On Chief Hope Uzodinma, he said he had not built in Owerri and that the house he was living in was hired and as a result had no address in the state, adding that his Chief of Staff , Hon.
Uche Nwosu, was far better than them because within a short time he had invested in the state.
