#2019 Presidential election result: APC wins in Kogi, Gombe


The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in the Saturday’s presidential polls in Kogi and Gombe states.


According to the state chief returning officer, Prof Michael Adikwu, APC scored 285, 894 votes while the PDP came second with 218,207 votes in Kogi.


Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) agent, Osita Chidoka said there was an agreement that Dekina LGA was not going to be included in the results but was surprised that it final made it. 


Chidoka said his party was going to make available the list of troubled areas in Kogi adding that someone was killed in the state, leading to so much confusion in the area.


Adikwu said there was a lot of hostilities which made the number of voters very few than the numbet of valid voters. 
In Gombe state, the returning officer and Vice Chancellor Modibbo Adamawa University Kyari Mohammed, said APC scored 402,961 votes while the PDP polled 138,484 votes.


According to the returning officer, accredited voters were 604,240 while the number of registered voters in the state was 1,385,191.


He stated that valid votes were 554,203 while rejected votes were 26446, just as total votes cast was 580,649 votes.
