2019: PRP won’t enter deceitful alliance with PDP, APC- Balarabe Musa

People’s Redemption Party (PRP) will not seek alliance with the major political parties for the purpose of securing power in 2019.
This was disclosed by the party’s chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), Alhaji Balarabe Musa, who said both the All Progressives Congress and the People’s Democratic Party were seeking alliance with other political parties for deceitful reasons ahead of the 2019 elections.

He assured that the PRP will not align with any political party for the 2019 general elections, stressing that any party that wants an alignment with a progressive force like PRP, should know exactly what the party stands for.

The former Governor of Kaduna State, who disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday in Lagos, noting that the major political parties cannot make it alone in 2019.
The BoT chairman disclosed that the major political parties were seeking alliances in order to deceive Nigerians ahead of 2019 elections

“No party has approached me to join forces with them, but the issue of realignment is ongoing. I have friends who are top members of the two major political parties and the parties know that they can’t make it alone; they are bankrupt.

“So they really want alliances to deceive the people; they are now making approaches. Some are consulting directly with even material inducement; in cases where they can’t use material inducement they try to use democratic alliances.

“So I want to warn them that as far as I am concerned, we will not be involved in alliances with any of the group until the group knows exactly what we stand for.

“They must also know the minimum performance requirements for governance in Nigeria,” the elder statesman said.
