As Nigerians prepare to cast their votes on Saturday, a solidarity group for Buhari/Osinbajo has called on eligible voters to vote massively for the candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC) starting with the presidential and National Assembly candidates.
The women group under the aegis of Noble Women Movement for Buhari/Osinbajo (NNWM4BO) said the call became necessary in view of the numerous achievements recorded in infrastructural development across the country.
Addressing a joint press conference Monday in Abuja, the National President, Mrs. Mfawa Usani, and National Director of Publicity for the movement, Dr. Rachael Ahmadu, said re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo would consolidate the gains achieved in the past three years.
Ahmadu, who is also a member of Strategic Communication Committee of Buhari Campaign Organisation told journalists that the blockage of looted funds by the Buhari’s administration has provoked many corrupt politicians who are bent to come back to power through the back doors.
“It is very clear to the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, that President Muhammadu Buhari will win the February 16 presidential election because his credibility is not in doubt.
“It is also obvious that the numerous infrastructural development across the length and breath of Nigeria will earn him massive votes among spectrum of the society.
“More importantly, the traders’ money which ordinarily could have been diverted and shared among the elites was put to good use. This explains why the elites are angry and want to come back to power. This is the first time Nigerians are having election without the use of public funds with impunity,” Ahmadu stated.
While fielding questions from journalists on a purported audio clip of a supposed “nurse” of President Muhammadu Buhari telling voters that the president was sick and cannot govern for another four years, Ahmadu described the audio clip as one of carefully choreographed fake news designed to scare voters from voting Buhari.
