2019: Youth Council, others endorse Buhari

 

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) and Initiative for the Promotion of Peace and Unity in Nigeria (IPPUN) have endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari for the 2019 presidential election.

The endorsement was made yesterday, during the Interfaith Thanksgiving Project for the survival of President Buhari and stability of Nigeria at the National Women Development Centre, Abuja.

The National Coordinator, IPPUN, Hon Emmanuel Okeme, said the programme was organised to thank God for the live of President Buhari and to call on him to contest in the 2019 presidential election.
Okeme said, “The president has done well in most aspects, as such, we want him to continue in 2019. We are assuring the president of our total support and if need be, we will raise money for him to purchase the All Progressives Congress (APC) form.

“Though the Nigerian youths have been used by evil doers to perpetrate their evil acts, but, today through our effort, the youths have realised their potentials and most of them are willing to support the president to make Nigeria a better place for all.”

In his speech, president, NYCN, Comrade Murtala Muhammed Garba, said the youths have been at the receiving end of all challenges the country has gone through.

He said, “This present administration under the leadership of president Muhammadu Buhari mean well for Nigerian youths. We know the challenges that every government faces, but the present administration has done well on security, war against corruption and the economy is in progress. We are supporting the present administration and we shall continue to engage them on national issues’.
