Executive Secretary Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) Rev. Yakubu Pam has announced President Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Dr. Samson Ayokunle as spiritual leader of the pilgrims for the 2020 pilgrimage to Jordan.
A statement by the commission’s media and public relations unit quoted Rev. Pam as saying this Sunday at the inauguration of officials of 17 Districts of the CAN in Mangu local government area of Plateau state.
According to the statement, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, would be one of the dignitaries that would grace the flag-off at Yakubu Gowon Airport, Heigpang, Jos, on July 24, 2021.
“The maiden pilgrimage exercise to Jordan will be the first time ever that Plateau pilgrims would be airlifted from the Yakubu Gowon Airport, Heigpang, Jos, to the Holy Land. I thank Governor Simon Lalong for ensuring that the airport is ready for use,” the statement read in part.
