2023: Adamawa SDP guber candidate Ardo unveils female campaign DG

Ahead of the gubernatorial campaign flag-off, the gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic party (SDP) in Adamawa state, Dr. Umar Ardo has inaugurated Mrs. Titi Malik, a former commissioner, as his campaign Director General for the 2023 election.

Inaugurating the 222- member campaign council at the weekend in Yola, Dr. Ardo explained that, there was the need to be gender sensitive in the Adamawa politics hence the decision to go for female campaign DG.

He noted that, unlike PDP and APC, the 222-member SDP campaign council was a product of wide consultations among all the stakeholders, including party candidates, excos and other stakeholders at all levels on the basis of merit; which was why the campaign list is devoid of acrimony.

Ardo, a former special adviser on state and local government affairs to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, charged the newly inaugurated council to work assiduously to deliver him and all SDP candidates in the state, adding that they had all it takes to take the campaign to the nooks and crannies of the state and ensure victory for the party.

According to him, his victory in the 2023 gubernatorial election would be easier if Governor Fintiri succeeds as PDP candidate in the suit filed against him by Amb. Jamil Waziri over alleged exclusion from PDP primaries currently holding at the Supreme Court.

On her part, the newly inaugurated DG of the SDP campaign council, Titi Malik thanked the party and its gubernatorial candidate for finding her worthy to lead the campaign  and promised to work with other members of the campaign council and stakeholders at all levels to deliver the candidate and all other the party candidates in the state.

She also assured that they would never disappoint the party but rather take Adamawa SDP to victory in the 2023 election and called on the people of the state to support the aspiration of Dr. Umar Ardo she described as a Messiah and a man of fairness, equity and justice.
