2023: ADP guber hopeful to channel Yahoo boys’ energy to agric 

The governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party in Delta State (ADP), Prince Emmanuel Ogba, Sunday promised to redirect the energy of fraudsters popularly known as Yahoo boys to agriculture and ensure it becomes a major source of revenue for the state.

He stated this in Asaba, Delta state capital, adding that the joblessness among Nigeria youth especially Delta, calls for serious concern.

Her said, “If you look at youth today, between the ages of 24 to 30, they are into Yahoo business. Youth are angry in Nigeria because they have not seen a responsible and responsive government. 

Prince Ogba said various security agencies in the state would be strengthened through huge support of the government.

He said he will provide modern gadgets, ensure training of personnel and provide equipment to encourage them fight and reduce criminality.

On education, he said attention would be paid to technical education so that learning of trade would be brought to the doorstep of every family.

“My administration would award scholarship to indigent sons and daughters of Delta state in both national and foreign universities.

“Delta state shall establish industry across the three senatorial districts and this will guarantee rapid wealth and employment creation.

“It will also encourage our local development by providing instant market for them. I believe that government owned companies, if effectively operated will do better in transport, fishing through trawlers agriculture, water production, blight rail and manufacturing of locally used materials.

“I am coming on board to address wave of social vices such as corruption, moral decadence in public life, greed and avarice in the conduct of government business,” he said.
