2023 AFCON qualifier: Iwobi, Lookman, 17 Super Eagles train in Lagos ahead Sierra Leone clash 

 

 

Ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone, the Super Eagles started their training yesterday evening  at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan-Lagos with 19 players participating.

The Super Eagles camp came alive on Sunday night with the players tricking in to camp to the excitement of the technical and backroom staff who are on ground to welcome them to camp at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island.

The remaining four players are expected to join their colleagues in camp.

Vice-captain William Troost-Ekong, Ademola Lookman,Alex Iwobi, Joe Aribo, Kevin Akpoguma, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho were among the early arrivals in camp.

Monday training Blueprint correspondent gathered was mainly to loosen up and welcome back the players especially the first times.

Nigeria is currently on top of their group and Sunday’s encounter is billed for the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, Monrovia, Liberia.
