2023 AFCON qualifiers: Sierra Leone to face Super Eagles in Monrovia June 18

Sierra Leone will trade tackles with Super Eagles of Nigeria in 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifying match on June 18 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, Monrovia, Liberia.

The Sierra Leone Football Federation failed to meet up with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) standard forcing the SLFA to shift the match to Monrovia.

The Leone Stars have already unveiled a 38-man squad for the crucial encounter.

Captain of the side, Steven Caulker, Kamil Conteh, Alhaji Kamara, Idris Kanu, Lamin Conteh, Mohamed Kamara and Daniel Karim are among the foreign-based players listed by head coach, John Keister.

Keister is expected to prune down the list before the team start preparation for the game.

The Leone Stars are currently third in Group A with five points, four behind leaders Nigeria and two adrift of second-placed Guinea-Bissau.

In the reverse fixture in Abuja last June, the Super Eagles came from behind to win 2-1.
