2023: APC deceiving Nigerians with failed 16 promises –  PDP

The Director General of the Delta state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council, Mr. Funkekeme Solomon, Wednesday, said the APC led government failed woefully on the 16 promises made to Nigerians on assumption of office in 2015.

Mr. Fukekeme while speaking in Asaba, state capital at a press conference, lamented that the high rise of insecurity, hunger, poverty and huge debt was as result of incompetence and lack of ideology.

Solomon listed some of the promises to include, payment of N5000 each to 25 million jobless Nigerians every month, stabilize global oil price at $100 per barrel, revive oil refineries within one year on office.

Other promises, according to him included crushing Boko Haram and ending insurgency in the first three months in office, wipe out corruption in the first year of office, among others.

He told Nigerians to look beyond the box before casting their votes “because APC has deliberately scuttled the structure of the unity of this nation to the extent that Nigeria is disunited and fractured”.

He said that the APC-led  government had done the worst to Nigerians saying that the country needed to be rescued from the nothing-to-offer party.

According to him, “And for that to happen, we of the Delta Campaign Council is strongly calling on all Nigerians, and all Deltans to vote Atiku Abubakar for president and Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for governor of Delta state.

“Indeed, Atiku Abubakar truly illustrates the model example of the president Nigeria needs now; he is detribalised, cosmopolitan, a unifying figure, a successful businessman, and a pan-Nigerian.

“As former Vice-President, his management of the economy was exceptionally good, far better than what is currently experienced under this crushing APC-led Federal Government and Nigerians stand to gain from his wealth of experience”, he assured.

“APC has deceived Nigerians enough with its maladministration of the country in all ramifications. APC destroyed Nigeria from 2015 to 2023 and therefore has no moral basis to ask for another tenure from Nigerians; so voting for APC is like pour oil on white clothes.”
