2023 census: NPC commences training of 400 principal trainers in Bauchi

The National Population Commission (NPC) Friday commenced a 10-day zonal training for about 400 principal trainers from three states of Bauchi, Yobe and Borno for the conduct of the 2023 population and housing census.

Declaring the workshop open, Bauchi state NPC Federal Commissioner, Ibrahim Darazo, enjoined the participants to exhibit high sense of commitment throughout the period of the training.

Darazo called on the participants, as critical stakeholders in the conduct of the forthcoming census, to justify the confidence reposed in them by contributing positively towards achieving the set objectives.

He assured that the commission would not relent in training and retraining of personnel in addition to provision of their welfare and entitlements in order to ensure the conduct of a credible and acceptable census.

Earlier, the zonal coordinator, Malam Kasim, warned that any one that failed to measure up to expectation at the end would not be considered.
