2023: Don’t handover to political jobbers, APC chieftain urges Buhari

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Kabir Muhammad has advised President Muhammadu Buhari not to hand over the country to political jobbers who will come out to ruin the country and destroy his achievements.

Dr. Muhammad who is the Wakilin Sarkin Keffi told journalists on Monday in Kaduna that some politicians have put in personal sacrifice to sustain the present democracy in the country and one of them is APC National Leader, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

According to him, Tinubu played a great role in the APC victory of the 2015 and 2019 elections respectively, and it is imperative to show appreciation to him and time for such loyal party stalwart to be rewarded.

Speaking further, he said, “gone are the era of tribal politics, rather it is time for developmental politics. People like Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu should be in the forefront among those capable of leading the country because of his political sagacity”.

Muhammed, who frowned at those who still believe in the opinion that power belongs to the North alone, said APC as a party should share the principle of carrying everyone along.

“I am a bona-fide Northerner, tradition title holder and a politician, but I believe that for the North to succeed, we need the support of other regions, just the way the Southwest supported President Muhammed Buhari to reach the mantle of leadership in 2015 and 2019.

“I’m not one of those campaigning for Ahmed Tinubu, but from the facts and figures before me, he stands tall as the most experienced and qualified candidate to succeed President Buhari. Our party need a man like him to excel in the 2023 election and without any fear, I will say such a person is Ahmed Bola Tinubu,” he said.
