2023: Electoral Act will make rigging, violence impossible – Peller

A member, House of Representatives, representing Iseyin/ Itesiwaju/ Kajola/ Iwajowa federal constituency, Shina Peller, weekend said there won’t  be room or election rigging and violence in the coming 2023 polls.

Speaking with journalists in Iseyin,  Honourable Peller stated that the new Electoral Act  signed by President Muhammadu Buhari is bringing the needed sanity into the nation’s electoral processes.

Peller added that with the new Electoral Act, it will be difficult for politicians to rig in the coming general elections as it will help to reduce violence contrary to what was experienced in previous elections.

“The Electoral Act that we have now is already promoting free and fair election devoid of violence because where you witness violence in election is when people want to carry or snatch ballot boxes and this time around, due to electronic transmission of results, it will be very difficult. I believe that it will reduce violence and also people themselves should see that it is time for us to do things right this time around in 2023,” he said.
