2023: Fresh crisis hits Adamawa APC over presidential campaign list

The Adamawa state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has rejected in its entirety the list of the state nominee’s included in the APC Presidential Campaign Council submitted by Senator Aisha Dahiru Ahmed Binani.

The party urged members and stakeholder’s in the state to disregard the list.

They party  made its position known in a press statement made available in Yola and signed by the party’s acting state chairman, Samaila Tadawus.

He accused the party gubernatorial candidate, Sen. Ahmed of unilaterally generating and submitting names without consulting the party and other stakeholders.

The statement reads: “The APC, Adamawa state chapter,  surprisingly stumbled over a list of alleged  state Presidential Campaign Council members in circulation in the social media and some national dailies dated 31st October, 2022, as public announcement.

“They said the list emanated from Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed as Adamawa state coordinator, who singlehandedly generated the list without consulting the party at both state and local governments levels for necessary inputs and final approval.

In view of the above, the party hereby rejects the list in circulation and urges party members and the general public to disregard same.”
