2023: I don’t have health challenges but ready to salvage Abia – Ibeh

The embattled gubernatorial candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia state, Professor Gregory Ibeh, has said he does not have health challenges that would prevent from him functioning optimally if elected the Abia’s next governor.

The governorship candidate said this in an interview with journalists in the state shortly after meeting with members of his campaign council in Umuahia.

He pointed out that he was back in the country to ensure that Abia was salvaged from the hands of the government that had held down the state over the years.

He maintained that he did not have any health challenges and needed to clear the air on the ongoing rumour being peddled by his detractors.

According to the Chancellor and Proprietor of Gregory University Uturu, “on return to Nigeria, the first set of people that I asked my doctor to give my medical report was my party, the APGA’s state working committee, to inform them about my health status.

“I don’t have headache, I don’t have any ailments, apart from what i got from serving old Imo state as a weightlifter and when you get old, you get muscle tear.

“I did surgery, I started complaining, the pains continued, instead of allowing 12 months they gave me to heal, I started campaigning. I am back in the field. It is a sacrifice that I’m back making to ensure we liberate Abia state.

On when the party would be flagging off her 2023 campaign, he said the national officers from Abuja will be coming on Friday for inauguration and that the campaign council is ready.

He added that he has just informed their party that campaign council is ready and that all efforts will be geared to salvage the fortunes of Abia state come 2023.
