2023: I won’t take Nigerians for granted – Atiku

The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has assured the people of Adamawa state and Nigerians that he will not take their votes for granted if elected president in 2023.

Atiku gave the assurance Monday at the Mahmud Ribadu Square, Yola, while addressing a crowd of  PDP supporters who grounded the state to witness a mega rally organised in his honour by Adamawa state chapter of PDP to celebrate him over his emergence as PDP presidential candidate.

He commended Nigerians and the people of Adamawa state for always standing by him in his political journey adding that he has been in politics for over three decades and the people of the state always voted him, hence the need to reciprocate the gesture.

He said he is seeking for the presidency not for his personal interest but to serve Nigerians and improve their living conditions. He promised to unify the country and called on the people of the state to vote for him and Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for second term as he described him as a performer.

PDP national chairman, Dr.iyorchia Ayu, said with the crowd of people he saw at the event, Atiku is truly a unifier and the party will soon take over power in Nigeria and win all elective positions in Adamawa.
