2023: NCPC boss Pam urges Christians to obtain PVCs

The executive secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Yakubu Pam, has enjoined Christians in the country to ensure that they obtain permanent voter cards (PVCs) to enable them to participate in the 2023 general elections.

A press statement issued by the Commission’s head of media and public relations, Celestine Toruka, indicated that Rev. Pam made the call recently in Mangu local government area of Plateau state during an inauguration service of the Assembly of God Northern Nigeria, Mangu District.

It added that Pam, the general superintendent of the Assembly of God Northern Nigeria (AGNN), also advised Christians to take their destiny in their hands by voting and be voted for during the elections.

According to him, “this cannot be possible without PVCs.”

“I plead with Christians all over the country to take the issue of PVCs seriously. We have come to a time when the citizens, no matter their religious beliefs, must obey the laws of the land. It is incumbent on every Christian to obtain his or her PVC and be part of the country’s re-engineering political process,” he said.

He congratulated Nigerians for the success recorded in the recently-concluded primaries conducted by various political parties across the country.

The NCPC boss prayed to the Almighty God for the new executive members of AGNN in order to be “strong, bold and courageous and to have faith in God.”
