2023: NNCPF endorses Tinubu, slams critics

The Northern Nigeria Christians Professors Forum (NNCPF) has endorsed the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The interim president of the forum, Professor Katuka Yaki, stated this on behalf of the forum at a press conference held at Abuja Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.

He said the endorsement of Tinubu followed the adoption of the report by its Technical Criteria Committee.

He stated further that the NNCPF in a just concluded conference organised by Wishahil Management Consult and General Services LTD in collaboration with the forum frowned at democratic twists, professional egocentric and misleading criticism of Tinubu.

The statement advised Nigerians not to overheat the polity by campaign of calumny through media blackmail.

The forum noted that Nigeria has good people like Tinubu in the APC and life can be better as  the recent ugly experience odds will not repeat itself if Tinubu/Shetima are given the opportunity to serve the country.

While urging Christians to  exercise their democratic franchise in 2023, the forum also urged them to take cognisance of the candidate that will enhance natural justice and equity, unity and  respect to human dignity without bias.

In addition, the NNCPF patron and  elder statesman, Orubebe Godsday, who was  a former minister, enjoined Christians to cast their vote wisely.

Orubebe condemned critics of Tinubu and the ugly slogan of “too old to rule” arguing that Nigeria needs an experienced political economist who can convert the nation’s problems into solutions without difficulties.
