2023: Ohanaeze urges Igbo youth, others to shun violence

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide led by Prof. Amb. George Obiozor, has appealed to youth and stakeholders from South-east to shun violence and other acts capable of denying the Igbo the opportunity to produce the next president of the country.

The association’s vice-president, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, who made the appeal at a symposium held in Awka in Anambra state organised by the National Forum for South East Presidency (NFSEP), said “uprising, destroying lives and property, campaign of calumny and vices are anti-Igbo and anti-development.”

Ogene, who also advised people of the zone to remain as courageous as they were known for, urged interested persons for the office of president to be open, vocal and to liaise with people from other geopolitical zones, tribes and religions because one zone or religion would not make a president.
