The Kano state governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party and a member House of Representatives, Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada, has approved the appointment of Abbas Yushau Yusuf as spokesperson for his gubernatorial campaign council.
In a statement issued to newsmen, Monday, the ADP gubernatorial candidate said Abbas Yushau Yusuf was appointed as the campaign spokesperson due to his wealth of experience in the media industry spanning over a decade.
Sharada charges the new campaign spokesman to be up to the task in ensuring a robust and healthy media engagement devoid of rancour.
The new ADP gubernatorial campaign spokesperson graduated from the Department of Mass Communications, Bayero University Kano in 2008 and has experience in the print, electronic and online media.
He bagged his master’s degree from the Faculty of Communications, Bayero University Kano in 2016 and attended several courses and workshops.
Abbas was also a news editor with Freedom Radio, the first indigenous private FM station in Kano and served as Government House correspondent of the station for five years.
Abbas was also the pioneer Government House correspondent of Rahama Radio Kano from 2011 to 2012.
