2023 U-20 AFCON : Flying Eagles know foes December 23, pip Wikki 2-0

Nigeria’s U-20 side, the Flying Eagles continues their impressive friendlies with a 2-0 victory over Nigeria Professional Football League side, Wikki Tourist Fc of Bauchi Thursday at the FIFA Goal Project, Package B of Abuja National Stadium.

The Flying Eagles will confront another NPFL side, Nasarawa United on Friday December 16, 2023 at the same venue before playing Lobi Stars on Saturday morning.

The coach Ladan Isah Bosso side has won all their matches with convincing performance and will discover their group stage foes for the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations next week Friday when the draws will be conducted by the continental governing body, CAF.

According to the Confederation of African Football , the draw ceremony will take place in Cairo, Egypt on December 23.

Egypt will  host the biennial competition from February 18 to March 12.

Aside from the Flying Eagles and the host nation, 10 other countries will also compete for honours at Egypt 2023.

Senegal, Zambia, Mozambique, Uganda and South Sudan have also qualified.

The others are; Tunisia, Central African Republic and Congo.

The four semi-finalists at the competition will compete at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia.
