3 dead as 2 communities wage war over land in Osun


Residents of Ile-Ogbo in Aiyedire Local Government and Iwo, Iwo Local Government areas of Osun state have drawn dagger over a piece of land. 


It was gathered that the two communities have been engaging in communal clash over a portion of land at Asalu, Oke Saji, a border between Iwo and Ile-Ogbo. 


It was learnt that no fewer that three person have been killed over the clash that started Friday afternoon. 


A source hunted that the Olu of Ile-Ogbo, Oba Abeeb Adetoyese Agbaje and the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi have been summoned to a meeting by the Deputy Governor of the State, Mr Benedict Alabi.

The spokesperson of the police, SP Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident.
She stated that peace have been returned to the two communities with the presence of security operatives.
