The Secretary-General Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Sheikh Khalid Aliyu Abubakar, has admonished parents to ensure proper upbringing and adequate education of their children, as means of bringing the desired peace and security to Nigeria.

Sheikh Aliyu made the admonishment Sunday, during the closing ceremony of the 35th annual Qur’an recitation competition in plateau state.

He said security is the back born of any socio, economic and political development of any nation, urging Nigerians to fervently pray for the stability of the country.

Sheikh Aliyu said the Plateau state Qur’an recitation competition committee is the only one that does not have the backing and support of their state government.

He said in spite of that, the committee standout amongst the best in the country.

“We hope that the Plateau State Government will come in to support the committee,” he urged.

“The Qur’an teaches us to repent our sins and desist from doing bad things.

” Allah does not revealed the Qur’an for us to only read, but to ponder and put into practise its actual teachings,” he added.
