37th National Qur’an recitation competition: Buni receives, appoints winner Aisha Liaison officer

Yobe state governor Mai Mala Buni on Thursday praised the 37th winner of the National Qur’an recitation competition Aisha Abdul Mudalib, who hails from Potiskum local government area.

The competition was held in Gusau, Zamfara capital.

Buni said the government will continue to support policies and programmes aimed at ensuring knowledge for both islamic and western education.

He disclosed that to boost Aisha’s moral and encourage others to emulate her, government will sponsor her to the school of her choice and appoint her as Laison officer.

In addition, Aisha and her husband have been allocated Hajj seat, a house in Potiskum and any other support needed by the family.

Buni who expressed hope that Aisha will serve as a woman advocate of marital bonds respect, said women need to see marriage from both love and tolerance.

Reacting to the request by the commissioner for Basic and secondary education, Dr Mohammed Sani Idris, the governor also approved hajj seat slots for the Zawiyas, the Arabic and Islamic education board.

Aisha Mudalib was also presented with N4 million naira cheque won from the competition while the state university is awarding her for excellence.
