3SC vs Kano Pillars: Abayomi is our player – Alhaji Surajo


The management of Nigeria Professional Football League side, Kano Pillars FC have denied the report making rounds in the media that they have took away Shooting Stars FC player, Ayobami Junior illegally.

3SC Football club have recently claimed that Kano Pillars FC had snatched their captain, without following due process. According to the chairman of the club, Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Jambul in a statement signed by the media officer of the club, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa and made available to Blueprint sport on Thursday, Kano Pillars stated that it has no business with Shooting Stars concerning the said player.

Alhaji Surajo said he was surprised when he heard that 3SC are claiming that Abayomi is their property. “Yes, we have written to them earlier about the said player, and we also requested them to allow us to talk to him, but we later withdrew due to their high demand and expectations on him, Sirajo said. He emphasized that the player has confirmed that his contract with 3SC had expired and all the documents concerning his change of allegiance are available as an evidence. “At last, Abayomi has joined us and confirmed that his contract with Shooting Stars FC have expired. Alhaji Surajo therefore, pointed out that Kano Pillars FC have now any business whatsoever with 3sc concerning the player.

According to the seasoned administrator, if his former club has issues with him, they should meet him directly not Pillars because they agreed to sign him based on the documents he presented as a free agent. “Check our records, we have never signed a player illegally. We are always doing our best to see that we followed due process in all our dealings, and that is for the interest of the club, Kano state government and the good people of Kano state, Alhaji Surajo concluded.
