Ahead of the governorship and Houses of Assembly elections, result sheets of four local government areas in Delta state are allegedly missing.
An impeccable source said that the result sheets were lost during the sorting of sensitive materials at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Asaba, Monday evening.
Investigation revealed that the rival political parties plotted with the Independent Electoral Commission,(INEC) and security agencies to rig elections. Consequently, relevant stakeholders need to be at alert so as to prevent the governorship election being rigged in the state.
There was also a serious plan to militarise the state and cause fear and apprehension with a view to scaring voters from coming out to exercise their franchise.
It was said that the four local governments are in the Delta South Senatorial district of the state.
Efforts made to reach the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, Dr Omorogbe for comment on the matter proved abortive, but the head of publicity, INEC in Delta state, Mr Bukola Ojeme denied the allegation saying that it was not true.
