Tragedy struck on Thursday in Okpanam community, Oshimili North local government area of Delta state as a body of 60 year old woman was found hanging on a tree.
It was gathered that the deceased identified as Mrs Okenyi was declared missing Tuesday, this week , after she went to farm and did not return.
It was gathered that the victim was found with her dead body hanging on a tree. Her farming bag was kept a foot away from the tree.
It was learnt hat the mother of two was often seen going to her farm which was far away from the scene where her body was found.
One of the passer-by said, “I do not believe this woman actually killed herself. The ropes looks too short and her legs are too close to the ground.
“It is possible that someone killed her and came to hang her on this tree.”
Blueprint was later informed that the body of the deceased has since been taken to the mortuary of an undisclosed hospital.
