9 Prime players get red card

The management of Prime Football Club has placed nine of their players on the transfer market for low productivity.
The management committee at their last board meeting during the week, decided to place the players on transfer, for performing below the club expectations.

According to the media officer of the club, Tunde Shamsudeen, the affected players were surplus requirements in the club and that they had to be disposed of in accordance with the needs of the team.
He said the players that have been asked to look for clubs elsewhere, included those whose productivity was considered below average.

The club then wished the affected players success in their future endeavours, while also tasking those that were retained and the newly recruited ones to put in their best while in the service of the club and also to be of good behaviour.
The management also disclosed that capable midfielders and goal-scorers will be recruited during the mid-season transfer window.
However, the club management has urged the players and officials to be more committed to the aspirations of the club.
Prime have had a somewhat inconsistent campaign in recent weeks in the Nigeria National League with four points adrift of table toppers, Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan.
