Five hundred and six Plateau Muslim pilgrims, Sunday afternoon, arrived the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the state executive secretary, Muslim Pilgrims Board, Auwal Abdullahi has said.
He said the intending pilgrims were screened and boarded on the MaxAir plane, which departed Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport at about 6:00am, Sunday.
Plateau state was allocated 834 hajj seats for the 2022 pilgrimage by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
“Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin, our first batch of intending pilgrims, numbering 560 have safely arrived Saudi Arabia for this year’s hajj.
“The flight departed Bauchi at about 6:00am this morning, and Inshaa Allah, the last second batch is expected to department latter,” Abdullahi said.
