AA debunks publication on suspension of national chair

The Action Alliance (AA) has  denied the reports making the rounds that the Federal High Court Abuja has affirmed the suspension of its national chairman, Chief (Barr.) Kenneth Udeze.

In a statement signed by the national secretary, Vernimbe A. James, the party said the publication was false, incorrect and should be disregarded by the general public.

He added that the legitimate, authentic and subsisting national chairman of Action Alliance (AA) remained Chief (Barr.) Kenneth Udeze.

The statement read, “The attention of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Think-tank Committee (NTC) of the Action Alliance (AA) have been drawn to a baseless publication going round in some print media, electronic, online and social media that the Federal High Court Abuja have affirmed the suspension/expulsion of the national chairman of Action Alliance (AA), chief Kenneth Udeze.

“The Federal High Court Abuja only refused to set aside its earlier judgement of 4th November 2022 which wrongly ordered Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to accept list of candidates for 2023 general elections from unknown person”, the statement added.

The statement further said “the national leadership of the party has taken step to appeal the ruling and we make it very clear that Chief (Barr.) Kenneth Udeze remains the legitimate, authentic and subsisting national chairman of the Action Alliance (AA) as affirmed by FCT High Court on 28th March 2022, stressing that the judgement having not been set aside by the superior court is valid and subsisting.

“Accordingly, all the candidates submitted by chief (Barr.) Kenneth Udeze led national executive committee of the party for 2023 general elections and published by the INEC remain without any replacement.

“We are appealing to the general public and Action Alliance members across Nigeria and beyond to have faith in the administration of Chief (Barr.) Kenneth Udeze led National Executive Committee (NEC) and national Think Tank committee (NTTC) of the party as we move towards winning the 2023 general elections.”
