Abaji council chair vows to tackle healthcare challenges

Chairman of  Abaji area council, Hon. Yahaya Garba Gawu, has said his administration would do everything possible to provide healthcare services to anybody in need of it in the council.
The chairman stated this at the flag-off of immunisation in the council recently.

The chairman, who was represented by the council’s supervisory councillor for health, Jethro Zacharias, said the Council would not rest in its efforts to make healthcare services accessible to residents.
On the immunisation, he said the Council had mobilised well-trained healthcare workers for a hitch free exercise.

He, therefore, called on parents to cooperate with the workers by allowing their children to be immunised to prevent them from contacting killer diseases.

Responding, the representative of a Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim, expressed appreciation to the Council authorities “for the various efforts at making life easier and health services accessible to the people especially those at the grassroots.”
“The traditional institution will mobilise and ensure that residents cooperate with immunisation officials,” he said.
