Abaji partners FRSC to curb crashes on Abuja-Lokoja road

Chairman of Abaji Area Council, Hon. Yahaya Garba Gawu, has promised to partner with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in their operations in order to curb the incessant accidents on Abuja-Lokoja highway.
Speaking when the FCT Sector Commander, Mrs. S. A. Ajenge, paid him a courtesy visit in his office yesterday, Gawu said his support had become necessary in view of the vital role played by the commission.

He noted that the highway was always a hot spot of vehicular accidents “because of its nature, hence his administration’s support to boast the morale of the officers of the corps.”
He charged the officers to be discharge their duties diligently “so as to reduce accident to the barest minimum.”

However, in her response, Mrs. Ajenge commended the council boss for his “various assistance to the corps.”
She said his support, in a way, had been helping the corps in performing its duties,
but solicited for more assistance in the area of logistic and sensitisation to aid the corps’ operations.
“We hereby thank the chairman for his support to the corps. We, however, solicit for more support in the area of logistics for sensitisation campaigns,” she said.
