Abdusalami fetes disabled in Kano

No fewer than 1,000 physically challenged persons have received foodstuff from a former Head of State, Gen. Abdussalami Abubakar (retd), in Kano.
The former Nigerian leader, who was represented by a lecturer at Saadatu Rimi College of Education, Kano, Dr Ismail Idris, said the gesture was aimed at cushioning the economic hardship in the country.

Responding on behalf of his subjects, the Sarkin Makafi of Kano, Alhaji Ado Halilu, thanked General Abubakar for the assistance.
Also speaking, the Sarkin Guragu of Kano, Alhaji Salisu Isyaka, noted with appreciation, how the food items would go a long way in softening their hardship, especially with the approach of Eid-el Fitr.
He prayed the Almighty Allah to accept it from the former leader for his show of concern, trust and dedication.
