Abia guber contest: Don’t go to Court, wait for your turn, top govt official beckons Otti,Ogah

The General Manager of Abia state Estate Development Agency( ASEDA),Sir (Chief) Okechukwu Ndukwe, has appealed to the duo of Dr Alex Otti  and Dr Uche Ogah  not to go to court against the state incumbent and governor-elect but rather wait for 2023 when it would be the turn of Abia North to produce the next governor.

He stated that their governorship ambitions would be given greater impetus should they withdraw from election petitions tribunal sitting in Umuahia and support the Dr Okezie IKpeazu to complete his second term in office which would expire in 2023.

Ndukwe said since power would naturally be zoned to Abia North senatorial district in 2023, it would be wise to drop the idea of going to court and support the current governor to complete eight years of two tenures for his own zone of Abia South.

Ndukwe who further spoke shortly after his conferment of Knighthood award by the Methodist Church of Nigeria at Archdiocese of Okigwe said Abians had asked both Otti and Ogah to sheath their swords and avoid going to court against the Peopled Democratic Party (PDP) – led government in the state.

.”We have been begging Otti and Ogah to refrain from going to court against Ikpeazu in order not to slow down development in the state,2023 is better time for their zone to contest and possibly win rather than distracting the Governor Elect in his avowed commitment to give Abians greater dividends of democracy” Ndukwe said.
