Abubakar Audu was a great man – Wada

Late Prince Abubakar Audu, the APC Governorship candidate in the November 21, election has been described as a great man, whose death would lead to amendments of the nation’s statues.
Kogi State Governor, capt idris Wada, made the remarks at the eighth day fidau prayers for late Prince Abubakar Audu, the APC  governorship candidate, held at Ogbonicha, Ofu Local Government Area

The fidau prayers were led by Chief Imam of Ankpa Central Mosque and the State chairman, Council of Ulamau, Alh Suleiman Adams who led 211 other imams form across the state.
Represented by his Deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, the governor said ” like when great men die, comets fall, the greatness of Prince Abubakar Audu, who is a great man, has altered the nation’s constitution”.

Capt Wada said the government and people of the state are yet to come to terms with the death of Prince Audu, described him as a politician who’s influence spread across the country.
While he commiserated with the family of the late former governor, Capt Wada urged them to be consoled by the legacies he left behind.
Wada said the former governor’s legacies in development that cut across all sectors of the state would forever be remembered now and in the years to come.

Wada prayed for God to rest the soul of the former governor, as well as guide and protect the family he left behind.
In a sermon, Sheik Shehu Sadiq, from Abuja called on mortals to make the society a better place to live in, called on politicians to emulate the lifestyle of Prince Audu, who was selfless in service.
Prominent among those who graced the prayers were the governor of Niger State, some members of the National Assembly, and people from all works of life across the country.
