Abuja indigenes commend Bello over Abaji-Rubochi road

Indigenous people of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, over the rehabilitation of 10.2 km Abaji-Rubochi road project.
Specifically, the indigenous youths noted that the road which has been neglected for over 32 years will no doubt boost the economy of the rural dwellers in both Kuje and Abaji area councils of the Territory.
The group under the aegis of Abuja Original Inhabitants Youth Empowerment, in a statement issued by its President, Commander Isaac David, also revealed that the incumbent FCT Minister has broken a 32 years jinx and therefore deserves commendation.
“We want to commend you for the commencement of the rehabilitation of the Abaji – Rubochi road which was last constructed 32 years ago.
You have broken a developmental record in the FCT and the indigenes are very happy.
“We pray that Almighty God give you the ennoblement to extend the road to Kuje main town after this first phase, as a testament of your giant strides in the provision of rural infrastructure.
“The rehabilitation will greatly ease the movement of goods and services in that corridor and energize the rural communities to identify positively with your administration.
We also plead that other rural roads that constitute threat to communities in the FCT because of their deplorable condition be captured in the current rehabilitation programme to ease traffic,” the statement added.
Recall that the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) Satellite Towns Development Department (STDD) recently flagged off the Abaji-Rubochi 10.2 km road rehabilitation at the cost of N490 million
