Accord ‘ll spring surprise in 2023 polls – Nalado

The National Chairman of Accord, Honourable Muhammad Lawal Nalado, has disclosed that the party would spring surprises in this year’s general elections.

Nalado said this in Iseyin on Wednesday evening while presenting the party’s flag to the Accord Senatorial candidate for Oyo North senatorial district, Hon Shina Peller at the flag off of his campaign.

He declared that Accord was deeply rooted in Oyo state and Nigeria in general and the party has come to stay in the nation’s political circle, and that the time has come for Nigerians to embrace and ensure emergence of the party in the governance of the country by voting for its candidates at the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, the Senate and the Presidential level.

According to Hon Nalado, Accord remains the only political party for Nigerians especially the masses as it is committed to the welfare and good being of all and sundry in and across the country.

The Accord National Chairman while presenting the party’s flag to the Oyo North senatorial candidate of the party, Hon Shina Peller described him as a pride for the party and the entire Oke Ogun senatorial district.

Hon Nalado who expressed his happiness with the large turnout at the campaign flag-off, called on the people of Oke-Ogun and the entire Oyo North senatorial district to vote for Hon Shina Peller in the February 25 general elections as the next Senator for the Oyo North.

Accord National Secretary , Honourable Adebukola Ajaja, while speaking urged the people of Oke-Ogun to use their votes to end the  marginalisation of the zone, saying, “the only way to end the marginalisation is for the people of the zone to vote for the candidate of the party who is also from the zone’.

“You people said you want Senator in Oyo North to come from Oke-Ogun in 2023 and Accord has presented one of your own. It is you that will use your votes to end marginalisation. All the major political parties picked their candidates from Ogbomoso, APC, PDP and even SDP picked their candidates from Ogbomoso and Accord is the only one that picked candidate from Oke Ogun”, she said.

Speaking at the flag-off, Hon Peller tasked the people of Oyo North to come out in their large numbers and vote him as the next Senator representing the senatorial district.

Peller said the best way the people of Oke-Ogun could compensate Accord for being the only party that picked its senatorial candidate from Oke Ogun was for them to vote him as the next Senator for the senatorial district.

The Accord senatorial candidate emphasised that it would amount to injustice to have the next Senator for Oyo North senatorial district coming from outside Oke-Ogun.

Hon Peller maintained that Accord remains the only party that has interest of the people in mind”, saying, “I believed that this is a new dawn in our senatorial district”.

“In 2019, I asked for your votes to go for house of representatives and I decided not to seek a second term because I belief in justice and fairness. I am going for Senate because I belief in justice and fairness. Accord is the party that has interest of the people”.
