Acting gov has failed Taraba and God – Sen. Aisha

Senator Jumai Aisha Alhassan (Taraba North) has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led government in Taraba state has failed the people of the state.

Senator Alhassan stated this in an interactive session at her private residence in Jalingo, the state capital, noting that both acting governor Garba Umar and his boss ailing governor Danbaba Dandulani Suntai have failed on their promises to the people.
According to the All Progressive Congress (APC) senator, poverty, hunger starvation and death haave taken over the centre stage in Taraba because the government of the day has deliberately refused to impact positively on the lives of the citizenry.

“You all know better than I do because you live with the people here, there is hunger, there is poverty and people are dying, because the leadership in the state has failed. It’s unfortunate, especially the acting governor it was God that brought him but he seemed to have forgotten that,” she queried
The first female senator  to represent Taraba state explained in details that all the sectors in the state are grounded, she said the hospitals have neither drugs nor equipment, the schools are mere shadows of their former self and all these make life meaningless.

Senior special assistant to the acting governor on media, Mr. Aaron Artimas, in a swift reaction said the senator is also interested in the governorship of the state and she is just campaigning.

He said Senator Aisha has lost touch with the state may be because of her present assignment but the people on ground know that Taraba is not the same, he identified, road construction, hospitals, school renovation and training and retraining of teachers as areas that have received the desired attention of the administration in the state.
