Adamawa APC panics as Gundiri, Marwa plan to dump party

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa state, Chief Joel Madaki, has disclosed that two chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Engr. Markus Gundiri and Gen. Buba Marwa would defect to the PDP “any moment from now.”

Madaki, speaking to reporters in Yola, international Airport, said former military administrator of Lagos and Borno states, Brigadier-General Buba Marwa, was making consultations with his teaming supporters before he finally  join PDP.

He said the former governorship candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in the state, Engr. Markus Gundiri, had officially written a letter to the PDP intimating them on his intention to dump the APC.

He said: “Gundiri has informed us through a letter that he want to be part of the PDP family our house is large and it can accommodate whoever want to. But Marwa told us that he is making consultations with his people so that they will defect to the PDP enmasse.”

Gundiri and Marwa were initially jittery when Governor Murtala Nyako defected to the APC and had been having a running battle with the governor on who is the leader of the party in the state.
