Adamawa empowers returnees’ refugees from Cameroun

In fulfillment of its promises to supports the indigenes of the state Who agreed to returned back to the country after many years of taking refuge in the Republic of Cameroon as a result of attacks on their communities by Boko Haram insurgents.

The Adamawa state government has provided assistance to the returnees refugees as promised by the state to enable them pick the broken pieces of their lives and start a fresh.

Confirming  this development in an interview with journalists in his office in yola Wednesday, the executive secretary Adamawa state Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA) Sulaiman Mohammed  said that all the 133 returnees refugees  have already been integrated into their  various local governments.

He  said the state government has provided  starter pack for those of them who have  one form of business or the other who indicated their interest to continue with their businesses while those of them who have no skills  were attached with people  to train them in various skills.

The ADSEMA Boss added that the state government has also provided them with food stuffs and other necessities which they need to keep life afloat and that the government have the responsibilities to feed them for six months.

According to him, the state government is committed to ensure that all Adamawa indigenes taking refuge in Cameroon return home.

Even as he expressed optimism that those who have returned will served as a litmus test to those who are yet to make up their minds as to their welfare, and how they will be taking care of by government and integrated into the society.
