Former Adamawa state Governor, Senator Muhammad Umar Jibrilla Bindow, Tuesday led a delegation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) state executive, elders and stakeholders to congratulate the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha on his reappointment in Abuja.
Speaking during the visit, Senator Bindow thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for Boss’s reappointment, stressing that the SGF has an unequalled government management attribute and a special sense of duty that made his reappointment an easy one.
He said Mustapha’s love for the state is second to none as he worked very well for the growth and development of the state and the party, the APC.
He then thanked the good people of Adamawa state for their continued support and cooperation with the SGF, urging all and sundry to pray for the President, the SGF and Nigeria as a whole.
Also speaking, APC National Vice Chairman North-east, Comrade Mustapha Saliu, thanked Mustapha on behalf of the party for his support at the national and state levels and urged him to continue to discharge his duties with diligence.
On his part, Senator Jonathan Zwingina commended Mustapha for using his office to normalise the relationship between the executive and the legislature while making time for party activities.
While responding, Mustapha said he was overwhelmed by the goodwill messages of members of the delegation, promising that he would not let them down as he will strive to discharge his official responsibilities with honour and objectivity.
“I wish to urge you all to continue to pray for the government as we are very lucky to have a competent and visionary leader like President Buhari at the helm of affairs in this country,” he said.
The delegation included the Adamawa state party chairman, Ibrahim Bilal; former Deputy Governor, Hon MC Tahir; former Special Adviser to President Jonathan, Ali Gulak; Senator Jonathan Zwingina; former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Kobis Ari Thimnu, some federal and state lawmakers as well as former Adamawa state commissioners.
