Adamawa Senator Abbo floors Binta, wins at tribunal

The National Assembly election petition tribunal sitting in Adamawa state has declared Senator Elisha Cliff Abbo as the authentic winner of Adamawa North National Assembly elections.

The election of Abbo was challenged by Senator Binta Masi Garba of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who had represented the senatorial zone in the 8th Senate.

The tribunal in its ruling on Thursday, August 29, quashed the petition against Senator Abbo and declared him the authentic winner of the election as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Reacting to the judgement, Sen. Abbo commended the judiciary for standing behind the truth and restoring the hope of the common, unlike in the past when only the rich get away with justice.

He called on the youths to rise up to the challenge and take their destiny in their hands by joining active politics to change their narrative

He assured the people of his senatorial district better representation and more dividends of democracy and that he would do everything possible within his power to bring succour to his people who are still facing challenges of boko Haram insurgency.

Senator Abbo was recently accused of abusing a sale rep at sex toys’ shop in Abuja
